Style is a 2016 Malayalam action thriller movie directed by Binu S starring Unni Mukundan, Tovino Thomas, Master Ilhan, and Balu Varghese in the lead roles.^[1][2] Mumbai based model Priyanka Kandwal marks her debut as a heroine through the film.^[3] The songs are composed by Jassie Gift while the background score was composed by Rahul Raj. The first look posters were released on November 24, 2015.

The film, which is edited by National Award winner Vivek Harshan, was released on 2 January 2016.

Plot

Tom, a young auto mechanic falls in love with Diya whom he sees one day from the bus. The love got blossomed and at one point a psychopath named Edger came in to the life of this couple after an unfortunate accident. The incident lead to a scenario where Edger got humiliated and the movie is basically about the rivalry between Tom and Edger.

Production

The movie is from the same team which came up with the movie Ithihasa. The film was announced in March 2015 and started its principal photography by July.^[4] The shooting was completed in two schedules by the mid of November^[5] and the movie gone to its final stages of post production.The makers announced that film will release 24 December 2015.But later changed to 2 January 2016.

Soundtrack

The film has three songs composed by Jassie Gift. The melodious "Chenthamachundil" was well received by the audience and created a wave with in hours of its release.^[6] The film also features a song remixed from the 1977 movie Saritha which was originally sung by K. J. Yesudas. The remix version is sung by Karthik.

The background score of the film is composed, arranged and produced by Rahul Raj and released under the Label Muzik247.^[7]

Trivia

• Unni Mukundan and Rajeev Pillai were initially chosen to play the lead roles. Later Rajeev Pillai was replaced by Tovino Thomas as he got injured during the shoot .^[8]
• The film has one remix song from the movie Saritha titled "Mazhathullithulli". The original song was sung by K. J. Yesudas under Shyam's composition. The song's lyrics were written by Sathyan Anthikad.
