St. Andrews International School, Green Valley

St. Andrews International School, Green Valley is an international school in Rayong, Thailand. It is set in the surroundings of Green Valley Country Club on the outskirts of Pattaya. The purpose built campus has playing fields and riding stables, set amongst three golf courses and rural surroundings.

The curriculum at St. Andrews is a combination of the national curricula of England and Wales and the IBO Diploma (DP) programmes, adapted to suit the requirements of the international community at the school.

From 2014 the school is seeking authorisation to offer the IBO Primary Years Program (PYP) for Primary age students. Students in the Secondary School will still complete IGCSEs during Years 10 and 11 and then study for the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Year 12 and 13.

There are 460 students from 2 to 18 years old of 44 nationalities.

The school also operates a Dutch stream, structured according to the benchmarks set by the Dutch Government and Inspector of Education.

Accreditation

The school is accredited by the Centre for British Teaching (CfBT) and is visited annually by UK-based inspectors. The school is a fully accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World school and started offering the IB Diploma Programme in August 2008. This program is a pre-university course for 16- to 18-year-old students.

Activities offered include horsemanship, FOBISSIA Team Training, team sports, golf lessons, Taekwondo, and Thai dancing.
