Sreya Jayadeep

Sreya Jayadeep (born November 5, 2005) is an Indian playback singer working in the Malayalam cinema industry.

Early life

Jayadeep was born to Jayadeep and Praseetha in 2005 in Kozhikode. She studies in Devagiri CMI Public school in class 6 (2016). She has a younger brother, Souruv.

She recorded more than 50 devotional and film songs before age ten. Her mother says that she began singing songs from TV and radio at age two. She started learning classical music at age four.^[1]

Career

Jayadeep was a contestant on the Surya TV singing contest Surya Singer, a contest specifically for child singers.^[2] At age eight, she was crowned "Surya Singer". She was the youngest competitor. She appeared on Sun Singer reality show and won the title of "sun singer". Based on this exposure, she was offered the opportunity to sing her first film song in the film Weeping Boy, for which she recorded two songs: "Chema Chema Chemanoru" and "Thaaraattupattum". She performed in other Mollywood films, including Amaya oru Bavool penkutty and Amar Akbar Anthony.
