Smotrych (Ukrainian: Смотрич; Polish: Smotrycz) is an urban-type settlement in the Dunaivtsi Raion (district) of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast in western Ukraine.[2] The town's population was 2,102 as of the 2001 Ukrainian Census[2] and 1,912 in 2011.[3]

The settlement was first founded in the first half of the 15th century. It was granted the Magdeburg rights in 1448. In 1960, Smotrych was granted the status of an urban-type settlement.[2] The town lies on the banks of the Smotrych River.
