Career

Blackie was born in Gateshead and played for Hebden Bridge before joining Stoke in 1891.[1] He failed to make much of an impact at Stoke making just two appearances in January 1925 and left at the end of the 1924–25 season.[1] He joined Southend United where he again failed to make an impression.[1]
