Shura/ Taran Kano

Taran Kano or 'the Kano Nine' or 'Council of Nine' is the legislative council of the Kano Sultanate, the precise date of its establishment is a matter of debate.^[1] According to the Kano Chronicle, the Council is composed of Nine officials, three of which are above the Sultan, three of are equal to the Sultan and three are below the sultan.^[1]
