Shiraz County (Persian: شهرستان شیراز) is a county in Fars Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Shiraz.[1] At the 2006 census, the county's population (including those portions later split off to form Kavar County, Sarvestan County, and Kharameh County) was 1,676,927 in 427,268 families; excluding those portions, the population was 1,512,680, in 389,659 families.[2] The county is subdivided into three districts: the Central District, Zarqan District, and Arzhan District. The county has four cities: Shiraz, Lapui, Darian, and Zarqan.
