Shahbaz Khan Bugti

Nawab Sir Shahbaz Khan Bugti KCIE (Sindhi: سر شھباز خان بگٽي) (1897-1989) was a prominent tribal chief of the Bugtis in Balochistan.

He was knighted as a Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE) in November 1901[1] for fighting for the British Colonial Government of India and for his service to the British colonials.[2] In addition, Sir Shahbaz received large gifts of land in Balochistan. He is also mentioned in the book The Tigers of Balochistan.

Family

He was the father of Nawab Mehrab Khan Bugti and Nawabzada Sardar Sohrab Khan Bugti. He was the grandfather of Nawabzada Abdul Rahman Bugti, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, Nawabzada Ahmad Nawaz Bugti, Nawabzadi Hayat Bugti, Nawabzadi Sardar Bibi Bugti, Nawabzadi Munawwar Bugti, Nawabzadi Noorjahan Bugti & Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khan Bugti. He had 56 great grandchildren. From Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, he had 13 great grandchildren namely, Nawabzada Salim Bugti, Nawabzada Rehan Bugti, Nawabzada Talal Bugti, Nawabzada Salal Bugti, Nawabzada Jameel Bugti and Shahzewar Bugti and also Nawabzadi Dur-E-Shehwar Bugti, Nawabzadi Neelo Bugti, Nawabzadi Durdana Bugti, Nawabzadi Dreen Bugti, Nawabzadi Shahnaz Bugti, Nawabzadi Farah Bugti and Nawabzadi Nazli Bugti. From Nawabzada Ahmad Nawaz Bugti he had five great grandchildren Namely Bevaragh Bugti and four more. From Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khan Bugti he had twelve great grandchildren, namely Mir Sohrab Khan Bugti, Dr Allah Nawaz Bugti (currently serving as member Balochistan Public Service Commission) and ten more. From Nawabzada Abdul Rahman Bugti he had five great grandchildren. Remaining twenty one are from his four granddaughters. Out of them twelve are Bugtis, five of them are Khetrans and four of them are Mazaris.
