Shabdasrishti (Gujarati: શબ્દસૃષ્ટિ), organ of Gujarat Sahitya Akadami, is a Gujarati language literary magazine, published on 5 of every month. The magazine was started in 1983, a year after the establishment of the Akademi in 1982. Shabdakhya Jyoti Prakasho (Devnagari: शब्दाख्यज्योति प्रकाशो) is a motto of this magazine.[2]

History and profile

The first issue of Shabdasrishti was published in October 1983 under the editorship of Suman Shah. Shah had served as editor till May 1986 and than this responsibility had been taken by the second editor Jyotish Jani from October 1986 to February 1990. The third editor of magazine was Pravin Darji, served from January 1992 to December 1994. From January 1995 to October 2013, Harshad Trivedi served as editor. After Harshad Trivedi, there are no any specific editors has worked but the magazine have been edited by its associated writers Bhagyesh Jha, Rajendra Patel and Dakshesh Thakar.[3]
