Seema G. Nair is an Indian actress and singer in Malayalam movies.[1] She is one of the prominent supporting actress in Malayalam movies.[2] She has acted in more than 50 movies.[3] Deepak Dev, Malayalm music director, is her sister Renuka Girijan's son-in-law.

Biography

She is born to M. G. Gopinathan Pillai and Cherthala Sumathi (A former drama artist), in Mundakayam, Kottayam. She studied music from R.L.V. College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura. Both Seema and her mother Cherthala Sumathi won Kerala State Amateur Drama Awards.[4] Her sister Renuka Girijan, is a playback singer and her brother, A. G. Anil is a music director in Malayalam movies. Renuka Girijan's daughter Smitha is married to famous music director Deepak Dev. She was married but ended in divorce. She has a son, Aromal. She currently resides at Thrippunithura, Kochi.

Career

Seema started her career as a theater artist, at the age of 17, appearing in Cochin Sangamithra's drama Oru Kadamkadha in 1987. She has performed drama in more than 1000 stages. Later she moved to serials and then to movies. Mostly she played roles of middle or lowerclass family women.Her first serial was Cherappayi Kadhakal, in which she played the role Kocheroda.[5] She is a member of Make-A-Wish Foundation, for Kerala division, a charity Organization based in India.[6] She has acted in some telefilms.She has participated in a reality show named Nakshathradeepangal on Kairali TV. She has judged popular reality show named Rasikaraja NO.1 on Surya TV. She has attended popular talk shows like Valentines Corner,Valkkkanadi,Nammal Thammil,Sreekandan Nair show
