Sarnano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Macerata in the Italian region Marche, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) southwest of Ancona and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Macerata. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,389 and an area of 63.0 square kilometres (24.3 sq mi).[1]

Sarnano borders the following municipalities: Acquacanina, Amandola, Bolognola, Fiastra, Gualdo, Montefortino, San Ginesio.
