Saidpur Airport (IATA: SPD, ICAO: VGSD) is a domestic airport in Saidpur, Bangladesh. Saidpur is a city of Nilphamari district in Rangpur division and having the northernmost airport in country. The city was established based on the Saidpur Railway Workshop established in 1870 by the British Colonial regime, which was the major railway workshop for Assam-Bengal railway, slowly Saidpur becomes a very important communication hub for adjoining major district headquarters.

The city is the commercial hub for the surrounding districts. The city centre has number of government and private banks, insurance companies, residential hotels, local & foreign restaurants, shopping malls, markets, fast food, sweet shops, souvenir shop and many more.

Saidpur is one of the most important economic zones in Bangladesh, because of its regional positioning and Uttara Export Processing Zone is here to provide special facilities for foreign companies with safe, cheapest place and hardworking labor. Saidpur is the closest airport to Nepal and Bhutan, local businessmen also succeeded to capture a good market position in India, Nepal and Bhutan on their own capability.

The city has officers' club and two other clubs and institutes where cities various drama, musical shows takes place. There also a cultural club 120 years old called Silpo Sahitto Shongshod.

Communication is so good here to run a business. The city is well connected to the major cities of the country by Rail, Bus and Air. There are many intercity train connects Saidpur with Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and other cities every day.
