Personal life

Sachin Sanghvi started his singing career at a very early age. Coming from the suburb of Ghatkopar in Mumbai dominated by Gujarati-speaking population, Sachin was a sensation during the days of Navratri as his soothing voice became a well known phenomenon during garba. The duo have seen difficult times, trying to establish themselves in Bollywood. Just when they started doing well in theatre, they got opportunity in Hindi television and while they were flourishing there, they got into arranging for Bollywood films.

They joined Pritam Chakraborty who eventually gave them a go-ahead to arrange for other music composers, and started working with A. R. Rahman and Anu Malik. When they were the highest paid music arrangers, Pritam encouraged them to the next level, i.e. into composing music. For us it was, "Oh god, it is like going back to zero again." But it was always a calculated risk. Whenever we went to the next level, we ensured that we could sustain for six months financially.

But it wasn't easy. When we decided to compose, we were discouraged by two very big directors about five years back. They heard our songs and said that it won't work and that we should either go back to arrangement, or better still go back to father's business. But Pritam sir instilled hope in us saying, "Times are changing, sounds are changing and so will the music". He had realised that we would make tunes and had the knack of composing.

They both are married. Jigar Saraiya is married to Singer/Lyricist Priya Panchal.

Sachin has a beautiful and talented daughter, Taniskha Sanghvi, who is currently a sensation with the song 'Laadki' describing the love and affection of a daughter.

The duo added another feather in their illustrious career when two complete episodes of popular reality show Jhalak Dikhla ja featured dance performances on the songs of the young music directors. The duo are crowned the Remix Specialists of this generation.

Apart from providing numerous techno hits in films the duo is credited with some soulful and soothing romantic songs in the recent times.
