SAARC Fountain

The SAARC Fountain, located at the Panthapath intersection near Kawran Bazar business district.

Acronym of SAARC South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation. It established in December 1985 by the head of States of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives. However SAARC Fountain located at pantha Path in Dhaka city.[1] On the eve of one SAARC Summit Bangladesh Government established this monument.

Nitun Kundu a Bangladeshi artist designed and built it.[2] It is made with only steel; charming to look in night while the light is focused on the rolling fountain water.
