On 11 December 2014 he made his debut for Everton, starting in a Europa League game against FC Krasnodar at Goodison Park. Everton, who had already advanced into the next round, lost 0–1.[4]

On 20 November 2015 he signed on loan for Cambridge United, initially until 3 January 2016 and extended that loan until April 2016.[5] He made his league debut on 21 November, playing the entirety of a 2–3 loss to Accrington Stanley at the Abbey Stadium in League Two.[6]
