'Des Pardes', 'Payal Ki Jhankaar', 'Meri Adalat', 'Sanch Ko Aanch Nahin' and 'Nache Mayuri' are some of her films in Hindi.[2]

Early life and debut

Mahuvakar was born in Mumbai to a Gujarati family. Her father Kantilal was a lawyer while her mother Prameela was a dietitian[3]

She was accidentally spotted by film-maker Hrishikesh Mukherjee who offered her child actor roles in his films such as Mili, Kotwal Saab and Khubsoorat.[4]

Soon after her marriage to Mohan Kumar in 1995, Rupini quit films and concentrated on her family based at Chembur. The couple has a daughter.[3]
