Ron Ryckman Jr. represents the 78th District in the Kansas House of Representatives. He was first elected in 2012 and reelected in 2014 and is the son of Rep. Ron Ryckman. He also serves as an at-large councilman in Olathe, Kansas having been elected in April 2013 to a four-year term expiring in 2017.

Ryckman currently serves as the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, a position he assumed in January 2015. He is a former House majority whip and a former chairman of the House Social Services Budget Committee.[1]
