Preston by-election, 1872

The Preston by-election of 1872 was fought on 13 September 1872. The byelection was fought due to the Death of the incumbent MP of the Conservative Party, Edward Hermon. It was won by the Conservative candidate William Farrer Ecroyd.[1]
