Plotius Griphus

Plotius Griphus was a soldier of ancient Rome who was a partisan of the Roman emperor Vespasian, was raised to the praetorship in the year 70, replacing Tettius Julianus, and was also raised to the rank of senator. He was also a friend of Statius the poet, and there is a poem in Statius's Silvae inscribed to him.[1]
