Pirkko Mattila is a Finnish politician in True Finns party and a current Member of the Finnish Parliament for Oulu electoral district. She was elected member of the parliament of Finland on 17 April 2011 in the general election. Mattila replaced Hanna Mäntylä who resigned from the position of Minister of Social Affairs and Health in 2016. With this change Pirkko Mattila got a minister post regarding the implementations of Negative Income Tax in Finland.

By profession she is a nurse anesthetist, for which she obtained a degree which in 1988. She also took her Master of Science in 2005 from the University of Oulu. She has taken part in the Red Cross organisation of Finland and has goats in Laitasaari of Muhos. She is a member of the municipal council of Muhos.[1]

In addition to Finnish she communicates in English, Swedish and German.[1]
