Philip Fleishman

Philip Fleishman was born in London, England, raised in Toronto, Canada and is a writer, producer, distributor and lawyer.

He has held positions as writer, photo-journalist, producer or contributing editor for several companies including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Maclean's magazine, CBS and HBO. He was nominated for a Peabody Award for his work at CBC and produced a Juno winning music album for Liona Boyd. He has conducted many exclusive long form interviews with several notable people including Golda Meir, Bob Dylan, Frederico Fellini, Henry Moore, Mel Brooks, Richard Pryor, Louis Malle, Rudolph Nureyev, Marcel Marceau and others. He also contributed to the development of vertically integrated production companies and has used his knowledge as a lawyer to construct several of his own over the past two decades.

He has collaborated with director Steven Soderbergh on several creative projects including Showtime's Red Shoe Diaries and most recently The Girlfriend Experience.

Philip Fleishman attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar of Ontario.[1]
