Peter Teravainen (born April 23, 1956) is an American professional golfer who played mainly outside the U.S.[1]

Teravainen was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He played college golf at Yale University, graduating in 1978.[2] He turned professional in 1979.

Teravainen played on the PGA Tour in 1980, making only one cut (T-36 at the Canadian Open) in 16 tournaments. He then played on the European Tour from 1982 to 1997, winning once in 1995. Teravainen played on the Japan Golf Tour from 1996 to 2005, winning twice.

Teravainen played on the European Seniors Tour from 2006 to 2010.

Teravainen is of Finnish descent from his paternal side and English from his maternal side.[1]
