People's Party (Papua New Guinea)

The People's Party is a political party in Papua New Guinea.

History

The People's Party was founded by Peter Ipatas, a Papua New Guinea politician and governor of Enga Province in 2006, as Ipatas resigned from the Papua New Guinea Party to form a new party.[1] The party won 3 seats of the 109 seats in the 2007 General Elections and 6 seats in the 2012 General Elections.
