Pedapulivarru is a village in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Bhattiprolu mandal of Tenali revenue division.[3] It is a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region.[1]

Government and politics

Pedapulivarru gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[4][5] The panchayat has a total of 15 wards and each ward is represented by an elected ward member.[6] The ward members are headed by a sarpanch and the present sarpanch is Pulivarthi Malleswari.[7][8]

Economy

Agriculture

The major occupation of the village is agriculture and the crops cultivated include, paddy, banana and turmeric.[9][10]

Transport

The village has an APSRTC bus station, with many buses connecting to the nearby villages and towns. Bus is the major means of transportation for the people to move to other towns and villages. The nearest railway station is Bhattiprolu on Guntur-Repalle section which is 3 km from Pedapulivarru.
