Paul Balbach

Paul Balbach (born September 29, 1953 in Brazil) was the Corporate Secretary for the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement, 2007-2011. His father, Alfons Balbach, held the same office from 1963-1967 and again from 1971-1980. Paul also held the position of Publishing Department Director, again a post which his father held from 1971 to 1991. Prior to this Paul worked for the city of Fontana, California, as well as being President of the SDARM Southwest United States Field.

After his family moved to the United States in 1972 Paul earned degrees from Sacramento College (California) and Glassboro College (New Jersey) as well as finishing the international training institution of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement in North America. He worked as a Civil Engineer in the state of California prior to accepting his positions in the SDARM church.

He married Liliane Barkovic in January 1976 and has three sons, Daniel, Brandon, and Paul Jr. He was diagnosed with advanced glioblastoma on September 29th, 2010. He died August 12th, 2012 in his home in Roanoke, Virginia.
