Palestinian Communist Workers Party

The Palestinian Communist Workers Party (Arabic: حزب العمال الشيوعي الفلسطيني) was a Palestinian communist party. The party was formed in Beirut in 1978, by Palestinian sympathizers of the Egyptian Communist Workers Party.

The activity of the party covered all places of Palestinian people, In Lebanon, Jordan, Occupied territories in west bank and Gaza, though its influence was not widely spread in these areas and mainly concentrated among intellectuals . the leadership ( central committee ) and the central political tongue was in ( Lebanon]at the time when the leadership of the PLO itself and all Palestinian organizations was in Lebanon. Founders included Dr. Abdelrahman Berquaoui, Arab Lutfi, Muhamnnad Abdelhamid, Hani AL Masri, Dr. Ghassan Abdelrahim, Marwan AL Khalidi, Hisham AL Debsi and others members from Jordan Branch ( Hashem Hijazi, Faraj Abushammaleh, Ghazi Rashrash, and others . in the early 1990s, some members took the decision to unite with the " democratic " fraction of PLDF to form Feda Party (now in the PNA territories and other take an independent pathway .most of the members scarified their lives to the issue of Palestinian liberation and communism . currently the majority of them are activists in the Palestinian national movement and figures in some media .

Tariq al-Intisar (طريق الانتصار) was the political organ of the party.headed by Hani AL Masri since 1978-1981 when he resigned from the party before its first poetical conference (1981 ) and Dr. Ghassan Abdelrahim became the chief editor until early 1990. Tariq AL Intesar was published openly in Cyprus and distributed in many Arab countries in the period from 1985-1992.
