Paattinte Palazhy is a 2010 Malayalam film directed by Rajeev Anchal. The film has Meera Jasmine and Revathy in lead roles. Manoj.K.Jayan and Jagathy Sreekumar also play prominent roles in this film.[1] Meera playsthe role of a playback singer in the film.[2]

Jagathy Sreekumar does the role of father to Meera's character. Nedumudi Venu plays a full-length role in this film. The movie will feature six songs written by veteran poet O.N.V. Kurup. The music will be given by Dr Suresh Manimala,a debutant in the film industry. It was a grand Onam release. The movie will be remembered for the first state award for the ace singer Hariharan for the song 'Pattu Paduvan', gracefully and elegantly composed by Dr. Suresh Manimala


Plot

Pattinte Palazhi movie is about Veena (Meera Jasmine) for whom music was not just a passion, but it was her life. Aspiring to become a world-renowned singer, she sets out on a journey where setbacks, broken dreams and losses await her.

When she realizes with a shudder that the music within her has no ways of flowing out, she is driven almost to madness. But the music they say, always finds a way out.

And it soon overwhelmed the whole world, as it surged out of her. Time stood in honor of her, and she was reborn.

Those who knew her and who did not, competed for their share of her voice. Her father Sheshadri, Guru Usthad, Aamir who was in love with her, Dr. Aparna, Ganapathi, young music director Sreehari; all of them were after her. And she needed every one of them as well.

The filming was started on 2 January 2010. Major parts were shot from Coorg and Chennai.[3]

The film features a soundtrack written by veteran poet O. N. V. Kurup and composed by débutante Dr. Suresh Manimala.
