Oswald Tippo

Oswald Tippo (November 27, 1911 – June 10, 1999) was an American botanist and administrator at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he served as provost and then first chancellor. He wrote the widely used textbook College Botany with H. J. Fuller, served as president of the Botanical Society of America in 1955, and was a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.[1][2]
