Operation Silver A

Operation Silver A was the code name of a Second World War military operation against the Nazi occupation of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (part of the occupied Czechoslovakia). It was organized by the intelligence division of the Czechoslovak government-in-exile with the assistance of the British Royal Air Force.

The three-man team consisted of the leader Lieutenant Alfréd Bartoš, his deputy Corporal Josef Valčík (who would later play a part in Operation Anthropoid), and Sergeant Jiří Potůček, who was their cryptographer and radio operator.
