Nutaku is an online games portal and digital distribution company launched in December 2014. Based in Montreal and Bucharest, Nutaku focuses on translating foreign games into English [1] and providing an accessible platform to western indie webgame developers.

History

Beginning with the release of the card battle RPG “Lord of Valkyrie” in December 2014, Nutaku has rapidly expanded its selection to include online games of the card-battle, adventure,[2] city building,[3] and sim genres.[4]

Though the games Nutaku publishes are predominantly PC based, there are plans to release an Android compatible version of some of their more popular games by the end of 2016. In an interview with LewdGamer in June 2015, Nutaku was asked about their plans for expansion in the future to which Robert Mann, a spokesman for the company, responded, “We are bringing over DMM games for now, but we’re interested in also developing adult games from English speaking countries, and creating partnerships with indie developers who are working through Patreon but don’t really have a solid way to distribute their games.”[5]

In November 2015 Nutaku announced the launch of an all ages website. [6]

Nutaku and Kimochi

In July 2016, Nutaku announced their partnership with Kimochi, a downloadable game client focused on the digital distribution of adult games from around the world.[7][8]
