Northwest Rapid Transit

Northwest Rapid Transit (NRT) is a consortium formed by Hong Kong-based metro operator MTR Corporation, Australian construction companies John Holland and CPB Contractors, Australian rolling stock maintainer UGL Rail Services, and infrastructure investment firm Plenary Group. In 2014, NRT was selected by Transport for New South Wales to participate in a $3.7 billion public–private partnership to build stations, procure trains and operate services on the Sydney Metro network.[1]

NRT is currently building new stations at Cudgegong Road, Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Norwest, Showground, Castle Hill and Cherrybrook, with all scheduled to open in early 2019.

MTR, John Holland and UGL are also partners in Metro Trains Melbourne.
