The League of Legends Challenger Series (CS) are two professional League of Legends leagues, one in North America (NA CS) and one in Europe (EU CS), that are the second highest level of professional League in those regions. High placing teams from each CS are promoted to the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) in each region and low placing teams from the LCS are relegated to the CS.[1] The league was announced in December 2013 and began play for the Spring 2014 season.[2][3]

During the first season, the NA CS took place in a studio in Manhattan Beach, California.
