Nkole people

Nkole people belong to the Bantus of East Africa. They live mainly in Ankole, in their main territory.

Names

There are several names they are referred to as. These include the following ones: Ankole, Ankori, Banyankole, Banyankore, Nkoles, Nkore, Nyankole, Nyankore, Ouanyankori, Runyankole, Runyankore, Uluyankole, Uluyankore.[1]

Language

Their native language is the Nkore (or Nyankore). This Bantu language had 2 330 000 native speakers in 2002.[2]
