Nine Lives of Nestor Makhno

Nine Lives of Nestor Makhno (Russian: Девять жизней Нестора Махно, Devyat zhizney Nestora Makhno) is a 2005 12-part mini-series which aired on ORT Channel in Russia and RTVi,[1] an international Russian television station which is carried around the world. The movie is a historical biographical drama about the life of Nestor Makhno, a Ukrainian anarchist who was the commander of the Revolutionary Insurrectionary Army of Ukraine (Makhnovshchina).[2]

The movie was directed by Nikolai Kapta and the screenplay was written by Igor Bolgarin and Victor Smirnov. It runs for 540 minutes. A 6-disc DVD set of the series is available.[3]
