Nicky Shane

Nicky Shane is a harmonica player, artist, and stand-up comic who resides in Studio City, CA. He established and received the first Guinness World Record for The Fastest Harmonica Player.[1]

Nicky Shane (born Mitchell Pieracci in Palo Alto, CA) is a stand-up comic best known for his character 'The Buzzard'. He is also a painter, musician, songwriter, and screenwriter. He grew up in San Jose, California whose mother Toni Pieracci was a single parent. Nicky has five brothers and sisters.

During his career, Nicky Shane has written hundreds of works including screenplays, sitcom pilots, novels, poetry, and short stories, and over 12-hours of stand-up comedy material. He has released 10 CDs as a musician many as The Nicky Shane Band, and as a visual artist he's painted nine different watercolor (pen and ink) series. These include "2012 Harmonica Calendar","Voluptuous Mermaids", Stand-up Comedy", "Rock and Blues", "European Pastels", "Community Skateboard".

On September 8, 2005 Nicky established the first Guinness World Records wind instrument speed record becoming "Fastest Harmonica Player".

In January, 2014, Nicky completed taping his "Nicky 'The Buzzard' Shane Comedy Special" in Louisville, KY, a 45-minute stand-up comedy show performed at the 486-seat Eifler Threater.
