Newton Local High School is a public high school in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Newton Local Schools district.

Newton High School is a very small school. Their motto "Striving for Excellence" is well known. It is the center of Pleasant Hill, Ohio. Its address at 201 N. Long St makes it central for everyone to see. The old school was torn down in 2010, and a new one was built. It is a newer, more modern model. The old building was constructed in the 1920's, so there was much work to be done.It has now been completed for a few years, and still looks and feels brand new! The overall community and soul of this township really does reflect on their motto "Striving for Excellence". What a great example they set.
