Nathan Templeton (sports presenter)

Nathan Templeton is an Australian sports presenter and reporter.

Career

Early in his career, Templeton worked at Network Ten where he appeared regularly on the network's Breakfast program and also presented reports for Ten News at Five.

In June 2012, Nathan moved to the Seven Network to join Seven News as a sports reporter he has covered major events including the Australian Open [1]

In May 2016, Templeton joined Sunrise as Melbourne correspondent.

In October 2016, he became the subject of controversy when he tweeted support for Bill Leak who is currently being investigated under racial discrimination legislation for publishing an offensive cartoon depicting indigenous Australians as lazy, alcoholic and incompetent parents. Templeton described the response to the cartoons as "knee-jerk".

Templeton was also a junior footballing prodigy, dominating APS football for the Geelong College where he captained the side in year 12 and also earned a call up with the Geelong Falcons where he played one game. Templeton went on to play 50 senior games with St Mary's in the back pocket under the guidance of mentor Brian O'Brien.
