Nasir Declaration

The Nasir Declaration was a coup announcement that split the SPLA-Nasir from the main body of the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA).

The Declaration was produced by Riek Machar, Lam Akol and Gordon Kong Chuol. BBC radio broadcast the announcement at 5pm on 28 August 1991.[1]
