Mondo Kane is a German rock band from Cologne. Their sound has been shaped by musical traditions of the 1970s. The influences of the band, according to their own statements, are heavy metal and hard rock bands such as AC/DC, Danko Jones, Rainbow and Black Sabbath.

History

Friends Timo Lindenschmidt and Colin Gäbel (brother of Tom Gaebel) were active in various bands until they formed a new band in early 2006. The drummer Christian Hülsmann joined the band in mid-2006. On New Year's Eve 2007/2008, Mondo Kane made their debut at the New Year's Eve Special Show at GIGA Television, and played three of their songs.

Band name

The musicians are fans of the Italian film Mondo Cane. To work without legal problems, they replaced the letter 'C' with 'K' to create Mondo Kane and made it their band name.[1]
