Miriam Young (1913–1974) was an American children's book writer. Of her more than thirty published works, books include Miss Suzy and A Witch's Garden. She has also written many adult books. Mother Wore Tights, her memoir about growing up in a vaudeville family, was adapted as a a film of the same name in 1947.
