Michael Ryan Mariot (born October 20, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Kansas City Royals.

Career

Kansas City Royals

Mariot was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the eighth round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft out of the University of Nebraska.[1] was added to the 40-man roster on November 20, 2013.[2] He was called up to the majors for the first time on April 7, 2014.[3]

Philadelphia Phillies

On November 30, 2015, the Philadelphia Phillies claimed Mariot off waivers.[4] He was called up the Phillies on August 3, 2016, when Jeanmar Gómez was granted paternity leave for the birth of his son.[5]
