San Mauro Cilento is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. In 2010 its population was 982.[1]

Geography

San Mauro (also named Casalsoprano or Casal Soprano, i. e. Upper Farmhouse)[2] is located on a hillside in Cilento, near Stella mountain. Its municipal territory, extended on the coast, borders with Montecorice, Pollica, Serramezzana and Sessa Cilento. Its hamlets (frazioni) are:
