Mehreen is an Indian model and actress [1] who made her debut [2] in the Tollywood film industry through the movie Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha [3] in which she was paired opposite the actor Nani.

Early life

Mehreen was born in Bathinda, Punjab, India. Her father is an agriculture landlord and real estate broker, and her mother is a home maker. She has a brother Gurfateh Singh Pirzada, who is also a model and actor.[4] Her grandfather had served for Indian Army and is now retired.

After finishing her primary education in Mayo College Girls School in Ajmer Rajasthan India, where she was the School Student's Council Member and Vice-Captain, Mehreen went on to finish her schooling with the International General Certificate of Secondary Education program in merit class and International Baccalaureate from Pathways World School, Aravali, Gurgaon. She also rendered her services for the NCC, was an active member of the International Rotary Club and the Vice President at School Interact Club. Being a travel and adventure junkie, she is the Silver Recipient through for Gold from Duke of Edinburgh for Adventure and Trekking for her journey through Ganga and Yamuna up to Gomukh. Mehreen is also a well trained Bharatnatyam dancer, has represented India at Young Global Leaders Conference at Washington D.C. and New York City and is a member of Model United Nations (MUN) and Round Square Conferences. Additionally, she is a pre national air pistol shooter.

Modelling career

Mehreen made her first ramp walk at the age of 10 years and won the title of 'Kasauli Princess' at a beauty pageant. She was later crowned as Miss Personality of South Asia Canada 2013' in Toronto.[5] Following that, she walked the ramp for popular designers and acted in many a commercial ads in Canada and India. She was also the Face of Dove India The Dove Foundation India (International Print), associated with Nikon (TVC and Print Media), Pears Disney Cinderella (TVC and Theatre Ads) and shot a Thums Up Ad in Tamil with the Tamil actor Vishal.

Film career

Mehreen made her debut with Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha [6] in which she played the character of Mahalakshmi.[7] The movie was a big hit in South India and the US box office.[8]
