Meergunj or Meerganj is a red-light area in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Apart from local sex workers, many hail from the Indian states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and the neighbouring countries of Nepal and Bangladesh.[1]
