Meche

Meche (मेचे) is caste and group of people especially found in eastern Nepal (Jhapa and Morang). This caste is endangered so government provides allowance for these people to increase the population of this caste. Their main goddess is cactus plant, they pray every mornings with the plant. This caste is only found in Nepal, in Jhapa mostly in Dhaighan, Chakchaki, Jalthal etc.
