Max Briggs

Maxwell Francis Briggs (b. 9 September 1948 in Bramerton, Norfolk) is a former professional footballer.

Briggs, a right winger, began his career at Norwich City, where he came through the youth ranks and was a member of the team that won promotion to the first division for the first time in the club's history in 1972 and played at Wembley for the first time in the League Cup final a year later. He made 170 appearances for the club (scoring twice) before moving to Oxford United in 1974, where he spent the last three seasons of his career. Max is famous for being the uncle of Geoff Briggs - one of England's finest apple salesmen
