Mark P. Vergnano

Mark P. Vergnano is an American business executive. He is currently president and chief executive officer of Chemours, a publicly-traded company formed as a spin-off from DuPont in July 2015.[1]

Vergnano served as the chief executive officer of Performance Chemicals at E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (alternatively DuPont) from May 2015 to July 1, 2015. He draws on over three decades of chemical industry experience, having joined DuPont in 1980 as a process engineer in the Fibers Department in Richmond, Virginia. [2]

Vergnano received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and Master's degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.[3]

Today, he also has served on the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the International Safety Council. He is a Member of the University of Connecticut School of Engineering Academy of Distinguished Engineers and serves on the Board of Directors for the Delaware Council for Economic Education. As well, Vergnano serves on the board of directors for the Delaware Council for Economic Education and the U.S. National Safety Council, as well as the Advisory Boards for the University of Connecticut School of Engineering and the University of Delaware Lerner College of Business and Economics.
