Mario Delpini (born 1951) is an auxiliary bishop of Milan and vicar general of the archdiocese.[1][2]

Life

Mario Delpini grew up in Jerago con Orago and in 1975 he was ordained priest.Dalpini that has also received a degree in Italian Lieterature form the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and a licentiate in theology.Since 1975 Delpini has taught Italian language in the minor seminary of his native archdiocese and in 1989 he was named rector of the minor seminary.In 1993 he was named dean of the last four years of the seminary of Venegono Superiore and in 2000 he became the rector of all seminaries of the Milan archdiocese so he led the formation the priest form the high school years to the priestly consecration. In 2006 archbishop Dionigi Tettamanzi named him in charge for one zone of the archdiocese and in 2012 the newly appointed archbishop Angelo Scola named him vicar general of the archdiocese.In 2007 pope Benedict XVI named him titular bishop of Stephaniacum.
