Manifesto is a 1988 American comedy drama film directed by Dusan Makavejev and starring Camilla Søeberg, Alfred Molina and Simon Callow.[1] It is based on the novel Pour une nuit d'amour by Émile Zola. The screenplay concerns an attempt by revolutionaries to assassinate an autocratic central European monarch.
Plot summary
In the 1920s an autocratic central European monarch plans a visit to a small town where revolutionaries plan to assassinate him.
