Lutipri

Lutipri
King of Urartu
Reign c. 844-834 BC
Predecessor Aramu
Successor Sarduri I
Issue Sarduri I

Lutipri was a 9th-century BC king of Urartu. Little is known about him except that Vannic inscriptions claim that he was the father of his successor as king, Sarduri I.

He appears to have ruled between 844 and 834 BC, in a period of obscurity after the destruction of the former capital Arzashkun by Shalmaneser III, and before Sarduri's foundation of the new capital at Tushpa.[1]
